Parallels & GodenGirls

So here it is, first post.

In honor of our first show in March at the Casbah, I saw it fit to do the first post on the two bands we brought from Toronto. First off we have the Parallels, a trio composed of Cam Findley(drums/production/synthesizers) the former(they parted on good terms) live drummer for Crystal Castles, Holly Dodson(vocal melodies/keyboard), and Joey Kehoe(keyboard/synthesizers. They played an absolutely mind blowing live set that left the enthusiastic crowd begging for more. Here are three songs off of their first EP "Ultralight" available on itunes and through their website

Dry Blood

GoldenGirls is a one man electro army based out of Toronto. In live sets he rocks out on two Casio keyboards and sings at the same time. His funky and sweetly sexual songs speak of a young mans dreams of making it big in life to dance steps to one night stands. Again, amazing live performance which one should definitely check out if given the chance. Find him on myspace and check his show listings to see which venue he will be killin next. This song is my favourite remix of Do the Criminal off his EP "XoXo" by the Tapedeck Bros another production group based out of Toronto. Check out his website

Do The Criminal(Tapedeck Bros. Rmx)

So bear with me for the next few weeks as we try and figure out how to use this blog, but stayed tuned for more.
